About

stereometric is a project by a geometric artist and sculptor based in London, UK. Creating delicate geometric metal sculptures inspired by traditional craft of creating himmeli mobiles, originating in Finland. Himmeli are traditional straw mobiles, based on repeating octahedron shapes made from 12 straw pieces, connected with a string. Stereometric sculptures are assembled from brass tubes, sometimes silver or gold plated, sometimes painted. Complexity of these sculptures emerges from the repetition of very simple basic shapes. The sculptures made in this way are light, airy, and delicate.
